Overview

Know Your Customer and anti-money laundering controls

Nords Aviation may conduct identity, ownership, business-purpose and transaction due diligence before establishing or continuing a commercial relationship. The level of review can vary based on the counterparty, transaction, product, jurisdiction, payment route and other risk factors.

Submitting information does not guarantee onboarding or approval of a transaction. Nords Aviation may request additional documentation or decline to proceed where compliance requirements cannot be satisfied.

Information we may request

Depending on the relationship and transaction, customers, suppliers or other counterparties may be asked to provide some or all of the following:

Legal entity detailsRegistered legal name, registration number, incorporation jurisdiction and business address.
Ownership and controlDirectors, authorized signatories, ownership structure and ultimate beneficial owners where relevant.
Business activityNature of business, website, aviation role, operating history and reason for the transaction.
Identity documentsIdentification for relevant individuals where reasonably required for verification.
Transaction informationPart numbers, quantities, value, destination, end user, end use and other supporting details.
Banking informationAccount-holder details and payment information reasonably needed to verify the payment route.

Enhanced due diligence

Additional review may be required where a transaction presents elevated risk. Examples can include complex ownership structures, higher-risk jurisdictions, unusual payment arrangements, politically exposed persons, adverse information, sensitive end users or goods subject to export-control restrictions.

Enhanced review may include additional corporate documents, source-of-funds or source-of-wealth information where appropriate, end-user documentation, explanations of intermediaries, or independent verification from reliable sources.

Payments and AML controls

Nords Aviation may review whether the payer, customer and contracting party are consistent. Third-party payments, unexplained changes to bank details, payment routes involving unrelated parties, unusual overpayments, requests for refunds to a different account or other atypical arrangements may require additional review or may be rejected.

Ongoing review and record keeping

Due diligence may be refreshed when information changes, a new transaction presents a different risk profile, or documents become outdated. Appropriate records may be retained for compliance, audit, contractual and legal purposes subject to applicable requirements.
